TUNING
A piano must be in tune. If it is not, the pianist cannot play with other instruments. Intervals are not consistent. Tone quality is dull. Performers with perfect pitch become irritable beyond reason. Temperature and humidity are the two culprits which cause pianos to go out of tune.
MAINTENANCE & REPAIRS
Taking care of a piano should be a coordinated effort involving both a qualified technician and the owner. A piano has the potential to be a significant purchase and investment, therefore the development of a well-coordinated maintenance and repair plan is crucial.
